Delete your myWOD account and data

myWOD is published by JL Xtreme Investments LLC. This page explains how to delete your myWOD account and the data we hold.

Last updated: October 4, 2026 · Applies to myWOD 1.24.9 and later. On an older version, email us and we will do it for you.

Most of your myWOD data lives on your own device. An “account” only exists if you signed in (with Apple or Google) to use myWOD Cloud. Removing your data has three parts:

    1. Delete your cloud account and cloud backups inside the app.
    2. Email us to delete the other records we hold (subscription record, mailing-list contact, referral records, website purchase record).
    3. Remove copies in your own accounts (iCloud, Google Drive, device backups, emailed files).

    Before you start

    • Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel with Apple, Google or (for website purchases) the instructions in your receipt email first, or you may keep being charged. See our Support page.
    • In-app deletion does not delete the data on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it.
    • If you want a copy first, use Send backup to Email or Export PR Report (see Support).

Option A: delete in the app (iPhone, iPad and Android)

You must be signed in to use this option.

    1. Open myWOD and tap More (last tab in the bottom bar).
    2. Scroll to Cloud Account. If it shows Sign In, tap it and sign in with the same Apple or Google account you used for myWOD Cloud.
    3. Tap Delete My Account & Cloud Data (red person icon).
    4. Read the Delete Account? message: “This permanently deletes your cloud account and cloud backup. Your local data on this device is not affected. This cannot be undone.”
    5. Tap Delete My Account & Cloud Data to confirm (or Cancel).
    6. For your security, the app asks you to confirm with Apple or Google again. If you signed in with Apple, approve Apple’s sheet. If you signed in with Google, it usually reuses your sign-in, or shows Google’s account picker or a short “signing back in” confirmation screen. Pick or confirm the same account you signed in with.
    7. Wait for the message Account deleted.

If you see “Failed to delete account”, a reason in parentheses, such as “(reauth: …)” or “(delete: …)”, may follow it. Email us with that reason and we will finish the deletion for you. If you cancel at the confirmation step, nothing is deleted.
If you never signed in, there is no in-app account to delete; use Option B for the other records.

    What the in-app deletion does

After you confirm with Apple or Google, it deletes the cloud backups listed in your backup index (up to your 5 most recent), the backup index itself and any older single-file backup, all stored with Google Firebase, then your sign-in account record in Firebase Authentication. Some steps are best effort: if a backup file cannot be removed, the app still deletes your account and shows “Account deleted” without telling you, so email us if you want us to confirm your backups are gone. If you signed in with Apple, it also tries to ask Apple to end the Sign in with Apple link to myWOD; to be sure, remove it yourself in iPhone Settings › your name › Sign-In & Security › Sign in with Apple › myWOD › Stop Using Apple Account. If you signed in with Google, it also tries to disconnect myWOD’s access to that Google account; to be sure, check Google Account › Security › Your connections to third-party apps. If anything looks incomplete, email us and we will remove your storage folder and account by hand.
