myWOD Support

myWOD is published by JL Xtreme Investments LLC.

This page describes myWOD 1.24.9 and later. In version 1.24.8 and earlier the myWOD Cloud row is called Cloud Backup and there is no Ad measurement (Meta) switch.

Need help? Email info@mywodapp.com. We reply within 2 business days. If your phone has no email app, write to this address from any email account.

Fastest way from the app: More tab › Hit Us Up › Contact Us opens an email draft to us.

    Please include:

    • What happened and what you expected.
    • Your phone model and OS version.
    • The app version: More tab, bottom of the screen (“Version x.y.z (build)”).
    • The email address in your myWOD profile and, for subscription questions, the store you bought from and your order number (Apple: from your receipt email; Google Play: the order number starting with “GPA.”).
    • Do not send passwords. We never need them.

    Quick answers

    • Change units: More › Set Units.
    • A time looks wrong: myWOD shows dates and times in your phone’s local time. Make sure automatic time is on. iPhone: Settings › General › Date & Time › Set Automatically. Android: Settings › System › Date & time › Set time automatically (wording varies by phone).

    Subscriptions

    • What needs a subscription: the WODs and Movements tabs and myWOD Cloud need an active subscription or complimentary access. The Athlete, Benchmarks, Timers and More tabs are available without one.
    • Cancel or manage: iPhone/iPad: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › myWOD. Android: Google Play › profile icon › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › myWOD. In the app: More tab › tap the “Expires on …” line at the bottom › Manage Subscription. If you bought on our website, use the link in your receipt email or email us.
    • “I already paid but it asks me to subscribe”: (1) Use the same Apple Account or Google account that made the purchase. (2) Tap WODs to open the subscription screen and use its restore link (usually labeled Restore Purchases). (3) If you use myWOD Cloud, go to More › Cloud Account › Sign In; signing in tries to recover your subscription automatically. (4) Email us with your order number.
    • Refunds: Apple and Google handle refunds for purchases made in their stores. Request one from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (Order history). For anything else, email us.

Backup, restore and moving to a new phone

    I want to…Do this
Back up to myWOD CloudNeeds a subscription or complimentary access. More › Cloud Account › Sign In (Apple on iPhone/iPad, or Google), then tap myWOD Cloud. While you are signed in, the app also backs up automatically a few seconds after changes. Your 5 most recent backups are kept. Because the app backs up after changes, all 5 can be from your latest session, so an older restore point may not be available.
Restore from myWOD CloudFirst sign in (More › Cloud Account › Sign In; signing in also tries to recover your subscription). Then tap More › Cloud Account › Restore from Cloud. It needs an active subscription or complimentary access. If you have more than one backup, pick one and tap Continue, then confirm. This replaces all data on the device.
Restore on a new iPhoneIf you use the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive turned on, myWOD tries to restore from its iCloud copy on first launch. If nothing is restored, sign in and use Restore from Cloud, or use Restore Database.
Back up to your own storageMore › Local Backup › iCloud (iPhone/iPad) or Google Drive. Google Drive keeps one file named myWOD_backup in your Drive. It uses the Google account myWOD is signed in with (the same one as Sign in with Google under myWOD Cloud); after the first sign-in the app reuses that account. Once connected, the app also updates the Drive copy automatically after changes, and on iPhone and iPad it keeps its iCloud copy (WOD_database.db) up to date the same way.
Email myself a backupMore › Local Backup › Send backup to Email (attaches your database file).
Restore a database fileMore › Local Backup › Restore Database, then choose the file. This replaces all data on the device as soon as you pick the file, and there is no confirmation step. Use a myWOD database file, for example one from Send backup to Email or your iCloud or Google Drive copy. Coming from the original myWOD app? See the step-by-step guide.
Import from SugarWODMore › Data Import/Export › Import from SugarWOD (a CSV export from SugarWOD; it adds to your data and does not clear it).
Export my PRsMore › Data Import/Export › Export PR Report.
“Cloud backup pending” messageThe app could not finish the last backup. It will try again after your next change, or the next time the app starts from scratch (close it fully, then reopen it).

Heads up: a backup file contains your profile (name, email, photo) and all your workouts. Share it only with people you trust.

    Reminders and notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent from our servers. You can allow or block them in your phone’s notification settings.

    Apple Watch and Wear OS

The watch apps are companions to the phone app and need your paired phone: they show and control a timer running on the phone (the Apple Watch app also shows percentage tables sent from the phone’s calculator). They do not collect or send data to the internet.
